  1. From a point outside an ellipse, construct the two tangents passing through the point.
  2. Given any point, construct an animation display circles passing through the point and tangent to a given ellipse.
  3. Given a circle and an ellipse, construct an animation displaying their common tangent circles.
  4. From a point "between" a hyperbola, construct the two tangents passing through the point.
  5. Given any point, construct an animation display circles passing through the point and tangent to a given hyperbola.
  6. Construct an animation displaying a rotating cube.
  7. Construct the hyperboloid of one sheet.

Important Things in Creating a Webpage

When publishing, the location is
ftp://140.114.32.3/home/www/data/summer99/xx
where xx is your userid.

When browsing, the location is
http://poncelet.math.nthu.edu.tw/summer99/xx

Creating pictures: use PSP to compose and to capture pictures from the screen.
Creating hyperlinks: avoid using "absolute" address if you wish to transfer your webpage somewhere else.
Organize your thought: create tables, numbered lists and bullet lists, change font, change font size, change color.
Include as many meaningful hyperlinks as you can. Avoid too many pictures in one single page.
When a file is named index.html, it will be the default file to appear in your subdirectory. You can use ws-ftp or cute-ftp to remove or rename the file.
How to work fast without using the mouse? Make use of these keystrokes often:
control-r   (reload)
control-4   (go to the composer)
alt-tab  (switching windows)
control-c, control-v, control-x  (save a lot of trouble editing)
control-l, control-e, control-r  (align to the left, center or right)
